Default Zaino!

I did a search first and didn't find any listings, so I'm wondering... has anybody here heard of Zaino brand car polish?

Zaino Store

I've been using their stuff for about ten years, and I gotta tell you, I've never found anything that is as easy to use or works as well. I have three coats on my new WRX as of last night, and this weekend when I go home to Reno, I will be starting on the new Forester.

In a nutshell... use a claybar to get the car good and clean. If it's already good 'n clean, wash it with Dawn to be sure all wax is gone.

Then put on a coat of the special cleaner/conditioner and let it dry. Buff it off.

Next, put on a coat of the polish and let it dry for an hour. Buff off.

Let the car "cure" for a few days, then wash it again (using regular car wash), and go for a second coat. I tend to do 3-4 coats over the course of a month, and then do it quarterly.

The best part of all this is you can apply it in direct sunlight, and in any temps from about 40 deg on up. There's no rubbing or buffing (elbow grease) required. Just wipe it on using the special applicator sponge.

They also tell you to wet the sponge first. You want it thoroughly saturated with water, then ring it out. This way, you use far less of the polish. They say you can do a whole car with about 1/3 of an ounce, so it will last a LONG time.

The results are nothing short of amazing. I wish I had some photos of my WRX after a polishing... it's satin white pearl and it REALLY shines. My Forester is dark gray, so it'll be neat to see what it looks like when I'm done, as it's the darkest-color new car I've ever bought. I'll definitely get pix after I'm done.

I used to use this stuff on my 98 Ginster Yellow GTI. It is really very good- I loved that you can use it on ANY part of the car, including rubber and glass- worked way better at water removal than Rain-X ever did for me.

I kinda forgot about this stuff- been a long time since I had the time to spend detailing the crap out of my car on a weekly basis like I did with the Ginster. I'd love to see how it works on a metallic paint finish, may have to get some!

A topic that always ends up in a pi55ing contest, where thread gets locked.
