Recently I waxed my '00 Impreza RS with Zymol Creame and the shine I got exceded my expectations. Can't wait to wax my '07 X with it. The only down side of this is that it's going to be a hole day in detailing 'cause I do the Zymol cleaner first (the blue stuff that smells great!), them i'll do the Creame...a hole day buffing, uufff. But the shine

Duragloss 105, best kept secret on the market...cheap, lasts like no other, easy on/easy off, doesn't stain trim.

I do detailing on the side so Ive used a ton of waxes/sealants:

Natty's Blue - Looks great, very easy on and very easy off but doesn't last too long.
NXT 1 - Loved how it darkens my paint, doesnt last long at all but has great cleaning abilities
Duragloss 951 Aquawax - Excellent spray wax, the only one I conintually use
4Star Ultimate Paint Protection - has the slickest feel, but doesnt last as long as my 105
Collinite Insulator Wax - My winter wax, lasts a very long time, easy on and easy off...doesnt do much look wise
Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer - Insane sheeting ability but washes away quicky, I use it when I wash my car and I know Im gonna hit rain in the next few days

Theres probably a lot more Im forgetting but those are the last ones Ive tested

Do you use the bonding agent before appling the Duragloss 105?

I used NuFinish on my truck, and was shocked silly (it had been sitting outside for years without wax before I bought it).

And yes, that's plasti-dip below the door... great at preventing rock damage, and the rust that ensues. Yeah, I drive a baby-blue truck. Get over it.

The Foz normally gets a clay bar, a coat of Mothers cleaner wax, and then a coat of Mothers Carnuba. This normally lasts six months or so, using quick detailer after I wash (like 2StepsAhead mentioned).

Anyone tried the Mothers Powerball 4Paint? I was kind of worried about swirl marks. What do you guys think?

Hahahah..yea..I know what you mean about the Insulator Wax. The Fleetwax 885 I think is a bit more durable (paste). But yea for sure..not much on looks. Great on alloy wheels though.

I've used Liquid Glass on two vehicles (Chevy S10 and the Forester). It's quite durable and can be used on quite a few surfaces (not just the paint). It shines up nicely.

As for the plastic, I use ArmorAll since that is what I have. I'll switch to something better once I've used that stuff up.

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned the Mr. Clean "AutoDry" system. It seems to maintain the car beautifully with a gizmo that attaches to your hose. The first setting wets the car, the second setting applies a special wash/wax. You use a mitt to loosen the dirt then rinse it off. The final step is spraying the car with a fine mist that goes through a filter in the gizmo. The filter takes out every trace of mineral in the water and causes the water to sheet off without leaving a spot. I love this system!

One thing I do once a year, though, is put on a sealer/polish like Turtle Wax "Shining Armour" (dealer paint sealant) or something similar.

I had had very good results with Adam's products. Car Wax, Car Polish, Auto Detail Supplies - Adam's Polishes

I find it's not so much the products as it is the procedure. There are many good forums out there for detailing such as autogeeks. I hit our 09 with a clay bar, after hand washing it, the day it came home with us. I was amazed how much junk I got off the finish. That was followed up by a quick hit with Adam's Fine machine polish, applied with a Porter Cable 7424 using a fine pad, and then waxed with Adam's buttery wax. I could not have been happier with the finish.

i use Sonus ultra fine detailing clay with meguiar's "last touch" instant detailer as the lubrication.

the clay is very high quality and easy to use and cheap.

Sonus SFX Ultra Fine Detailing Clay - Detailing Clay - Detailing Products & Supplies Catalog

20 dollars for 2 bars and the box, and 9 dollars for a one bar refill. half a bar can do an entire car.

and this is what i use as the lube:

eBay Motors: Meguiar's Detailers Last Touch Spray Detailer 1 Gallon (item 380053161313 end time Sep-05-08 17:59:57 PDT)

very cheap for a gallon and will last a very long time. cheaper then any instant detailer you'll find in a retail store and it's great to use on it's own inbetween waxing as well. no streaking or hazing or residue. and it smells great.
