I use the Mr. Clean system all the time. It is really amazing the way the filtered water sheets off and leaves a mirror-like shine - paint, trim and windows alike.

But this summer, it rains just about every day! Not just a soft summer rain but torrential downpours about three or four times a day. The amount of precip. has already passed the all time record for rainfall in southern Ontario, Canada in June and July that was set in the late 1800's. So, forget washing the car until things settle down.

When I was a mechanic in the Air Force, we used a very diluted mix of a few drops of simple dish soap in a spray bottle of water to clean the canopies of the F-16s. I dunno if its safe for tint, but if its okay for fighter jets, it can't be that bad for fighter foresters :-)

Oh, and when I was a window installer, my boss man swore up and down that a window, cleaned with horizontal wiping strokes will not streak. I think he might be crazy though, so it's hard to say. Happy cleaning!

I've applied PPG Aquapel to my windscreen twice - about a year apart - stuff works great. I don't need to use wipers at all at highway speeds.
I recently found Stoners in a 4 pack at Costco, and cannot add anything to what others have already said.
However, for final polish, I use - wait for it - coffee filters. We used to use them to clean the glass and acrylic "sneeze shield" over the salad bar when I worked in a restaurant. I buy them for about $1 for 100, no streaks, no "lint".

+1 for that but like a few others I use newspaper to clean with inside and out (and then finish off with Rain-X outside).

I use a damn terry towel followed by a dry one or a micro fibre if you have one.
