I've used many and prefer Stoners. I'm glad Peaty mentioned the microfiber cloth as these are the answer to streaks....and useful for so many auto-related tasks. Hi tech!

A spray bottle with water and a couple of caps of methylated spirit mixed in. Spray on and wipe off with newspaper and then buff up with a cotton cloth. I've been using it for years, it works well !!!!

Thumbs up Plexus!

I use the same thing to clean my motorcycle windshield and paint... plexus... with a micro fiber cloth... works great! Won't damage tint either.

I read this thread and tried the Stoner disposable wipes.
Very disappointed. Cleans pretty good but left streaks and film.

Back to old school - hot water on one towel and dry with another clean towel. THe microfibre works well in this application. A touch of denatured alcohol is great if you can't get hot-hot water.

Invisible Glass, which i believe is safe on tint.

i've always used to use just plain newspaper especially on the inside of the front windshield to wipe off that oily residue you usually see there. the newspaper usually picks it up and gets all moist and soft.

Armor-All glass wipes on the inside, RainX on the outside.

BTW: I'd like to try this Stoner's but I can't seem to find any in Canada. Does anyone know if it is available up here?

White vinegar and water works great as a glass cleaner. It leaves no streaks. I don't like windex as a glass cleaner it contains a detergent for removing oils. This detergent is the culprit for streaks especially on hot glass.

I use water in a spray bottle that throws a fine mist and microfiber clothes. It even works great on Airedale nose art.

Head on down to James Snow and Steels and head on in to Crappy tire and you'll find it

Aha! Yes, I have seen that stuff in a bin at CTC at the Milton Power Centre. I passed by thinking it looked kinda generic and a bit on the expensive side. This time when I go in I'll get a case! (It's been about 5 years since I have cleaned the outside of the windows in my house).

Speaking of windows.......try using the using the "Mr Clean" car wash system, spray on soap, go over it with a soft natural bristle brush, an rinse with the filtered water. No wiping dry necessary! Works very well. (on the outside only of course.)
