^^Ive got the Turtle wax ICE "Spray Detailer" one and it works quite well. Its meant to be used in between wax's but still works a treat. I normally just wash my car and spray this stuff on after to shine it up. For a decent shine you have to do 2-3 applications. Looks great when applied, too bad the shine is lost as soon as i leave my home though (stupid dirt roads!).

I bought the liquid clay bar (wax) at Wally World this afternoon and tried the system out. The neatest thing is that the liquid clay bar washes off and then dried with a towel. I applied on all washable surfaces per the directions and the darn stuff works. The only chrome on my Sports is the Subaru badges, acres of black trim. It left no residue on the black trim, windows and light lenses after towel drying. 3 coats of liquid polish and my Fozzy gleams! The towel slides off the hood now.

I recently tried the detailer ICE spray on my month old 2009 Forester. (I really don't think you need to wax a new car until it is a couple of years old.) It works really well and I plan on using it after every wash. I am not convinced that you need to polish and wax a car that has been maintained in this way.
You might be interested in a new ICE product that cleans and polishes every surface of the interior. I used this as well. You can spread it on the dash, the plastic parts (clear and opaque) and woodgrain. You can also spread it over the leather seats. I was amazed at the sheen it leaves behind. And like other ICE products, it leaves absolutely no residue. It also claims to spot clean the carpet and fabric seats, but I haven't tried this yet. There isn't really much you can do to alleviate the hard, cheap looking plastic panels on the dash and doors or the new Forester, but the ICE polish does help a bit (I so long for the nice soft touch of my old 2000 Forester's dash...) Griff

I used it to do my daughters 2 year old RAV4. It brought the paint back to a great shine and was really easy to apply. Whole car took about 40 minutes and used about 15% of the bottle. Going to do my other daughters 04 Legacy next week. I'm impressed with the product.

So I broke down and purchased some ICE wax/polish/whatever it is...I put in on the clean car and left it...no hazing, nothing? It sure was easy - but does it do anything? I can't help but think it is the same stuff in my Sonus detailing spray that is to be used between "real" waxes.
My forester looks clean and shiny but is it actually protected from anything? Thanks, Kevin |

I put some liquid ICE wax on my car when it was brand new in late May. It has maintained a smooth feeling to the touch and water beading all through summer and is still the same today. If I can see any water spots, a few squirts with the ICE detailing spray gets them right out.
They also have an interior detailing product that I highly recommend. It cleans the surface leaves a nice low lustre on the dash (including clear plastic panels), the leather seats and all other plastic and vinyl surfaces. And believe it or not, it makes a good spot remover for carpets and fabric seats covers as well. Someone told me they also have a "Liquid Clay Bar" that rubs out swirls and light scratches and puts a wet-like glaze on the surface of the finish. I haven't found any of this stuff yet, but I'd sure like to hear from anyone who has tried it. Geezer
