3M Scotchgard film

Has anyone tried this? On either a newer or freshly detailed Forester. I'm worried about protecting the hood an front end on my new truckster. The road crews here in PA put down salt like they're getting a commision on tones per mile. Any input will be appreciated.
Thx

I installed 3M Ventureshield on my 2014 when it was brand new. My experience with it is in this thread ...
Clear bra/Paint protection film/spray: Yes or No and which to get

I think we can make it.

I had the 3M film on the hood nose of my '97 Outback to protect it, worked well. Don't need it on the Foz as the bulbar protects that area.

I am in PA as well. When I bought my 2010 in 2012 I was considering getting the 3M bra but never got around to it. After over 100,000mi and 5 years later with a ton of interstate driving, I am happy that I didn't spend my money on the bra. The front end looks fine, no chips. Save the money for broken windshields.....i think i'm on my 5th one now.
