That sounds like it would be a bear to source. I'm just looking for the axleback and will have to get anything I buy custom fitted.

Yeah so I guess I confused him for you. The Miltek might even be pretty noisy with the N/A but both he and Gary at Mann Engineering have said it's quieter than the SPT.

How much does a Moore axleback go for? Impreza/Forester, doesn't really matter.

Yeah, hard to tell for your N/A. I think Moore just does catbacks. Price depends on how you configure it. https://mooreperformanceparts.com/Ca...formation.html

Moore does all sorts of configurations, I'm even fairly certain you could outright buy the mufflers, resonators, and tips individually if you messaged or emailed him asking about it.

Never hurts to ask.....

The same thing was said from a guy I know who drives a 05 RS.

I recently got a GoPro and suction cup mount so I'll post a short video driving around. The GoPro has a little bit better sound quality than my iPhone.

If you add some extra padding inside the housing. Know that crackly sound you hear on GoPro videos? That's the camera vibrating inside the housing.

FWIW, when I do get exhaust, my buddy is gonna help me record a sound clip in 2.1, possibly 5.1.

Use the tether with that suction cup! My hero 2 is gone now cause of that mount...of course it made way for the hero 3 black...love being sponsored haha.

Right now I just want to find out why my exhaust sounds like trash and I'll worry about volume later on.

^ I purchased a
RAM mount RAM mount
suction cup, along with the gopro tripod mount.

Considering how big our sunroofs are... I plan to mount it upside-down in the cabin. I'm curious to see how I drive.

Small update...

First off, Roo II turned 80,000 the other day.

I also got my spacers in the mail. Great price on these on eBay. 56.1mm hubcentric, 5x100, 3mm. I need the extra clearance in the rear for my 2012 WRX rims so I got all four to keep the track width equal front to rear.

Lastly, I finally got the time to cut my stock bumpstops. I had left the stock Forester bump stops on the D-Specs to play it safe, but after noticing a shaky ride and poor bump performance, I knew something was wrong. One call to TiC later and Tony prescribed that I cut off one nub of each bumpstop. I removed the wheels, slid down the dust boots and carefully cut the lowest nub with Tuned200's razor knife. Did that and things were way better. You can see how trashed they are from being ridden on constantly...

After that was fixed, I buckled down and tuned the D-Specs. I discovered heaven at 5 1/16 TFFS front and 5 5/8 TFFS rear. Tony explained to me that the D-Specs aren't incredibly consistent in valving between sets and it seems that mine are on the harder side of the spectrum. Usually my spring rate would call for mid-high 4's but it was just way overdamped in that range.

Hahaha! Just kidding. Glad you are finally getting it dialed in. I wouldn't mind a ride in it to see how much better it is than when it was stock.

Fine by me. Phil wants a ride too. I'm really hoping for there to be more time to get to know everyone's cars this year.

Kartboy rear subframe locking bolts (Botox) went in today. Even with 80,000 miles, my threads were pretty clean. I just shot some PB Blaster up in there and ran the bolts without collars through a couple times and it was off to the races. The passenger side was a bit of a PITA, so I had to loosen the two passenger subframe bolts in order to create some float in the subframe. I think that 66 ft-lbs is excessive for the little weld nut, so I just ham fisted it until it was good and snug and the collars were seated nicely.

I have a date for an alignment tomorrow along with rear camber bolt installation. I'm still looking for a 185-lb analog to put in the drivers seat in the event AllPro won't let me sit in there during the alignment.
