Also here's a pic of the rear emblem ring plastidipped. I sprayed the whole thing and then peeled off the inside, leaving just the ring plastidipped. Sorry for the poor picture. I just took the picture. |

You know, the backs of the handles might be possible to do with the can of plastidip instead of spray on. I'll see how it goes. That emblem looks great though.
I might spray the bars too. We'll see. Just depends on how much I've got left. My bars are longer and that's partially the point of those amazon bars. The guy who recommended them could fit two kayaks side by side on them. That's nice and wide just in case I need em to be. That would be funny to leave the sidekick on but might hinder my aerodynamics a bit? Maybe some with and some without. lol

Black Door Handles via Plastidip anyone?
Picked up some plasti dip today (actually have 3 more cans than what's below). I've got to get the metalizer and then I'm doing my jeep rims(they look pretty beat up from rock crawling) and subaru rims. ![]() ![]()

Pics as requested:
Sorry it's a bit dirty. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And this: Ordered it from Ray today. I'm going to put it on during my roadtrip back home to GA. It's an Agency Power Equal length header. Hope to get some smoothness, and extra torques and hp out of it.

Door handles look good. I noticed you masked a square, and painted the entire area. How did you clean up the areas around the door handles?

Plasti dip is an amazing creature. Since it sticks together and peels as 1, you can paint the whole area nice and thick and once it dries peel off the outside bit leaving only the handle covered. Makes it much easier than actual paint. Since the area where the handle and door panel meets at a sharp angle it pretty much becomes two seperate pieces alowing the outside to be peeled off. Look up some plastidip how to videos. You can even do emblems and peel off the excess.heres my jeep emblems I did this weekend. I didnt remove the emblems. Just masked a square around them and peeled off excess.

Nope. Doesnt bother me though. You cant tell cause its only right in the middle that it didnt get any spray on it and the rest is mostly there.

Brace yourselves for an awesome video giving a little taste of my 18g.
Notice in the video that I'm braking while my rpm goes up to get a good launch. So I'm not moving right away when the rpm goes up. Watch the speedometer carefully to see when it actually starts moving and keep an eye on it when it hits 60. Not too shabby. Sorry about my girl screaming. She loves launching. just like daddy. I've got my header on the way to get me some extra grunt and I've got an appointment with my local muffler shop tomorrow afternoon to decat my downpipe and insert a straight through 3" pipe. Those two things should warrant me a bit of extra torque and mid-high range power. Plus my tune still has to be finished when the header comes in cause we stopped where it's at right now and haven't advanced the timing yet while waiting on the headers. I'll try to get another video up in the next 2 weeks to show the progress. PS. Isn't that a sexy set of gauges!!!!
