I just had a corolla S try to dishonor my foz accelerating from a stoplight. Didn't take him long to chang his mind. Not sure if it was the rocket like surge that occurred right after my turbo lag ended or the pshhhhht that came from switching to second. (Today my bpv was set full atmospheric. I switch it from one to the other every couple days to switch things up.)

Either way it was an amusing try he gave it, and he had such a determined look on his face at the start of things. He gave up around 40mph well below the speed limit.

Maybe before hand he was thinking something on the order of:

"Well I bought this corolla with a body kit and an S badge and it's actually still slower than just about everything. I bet I can take this pansy in a girly little SUV. He's not even wearing expensive Oaklies like me....hahahah"

Went to the track near my house to check it out last night. It's a pretty nice place but kind of a bummer that it's only a 1/8 mile track and oval. I'll have to go to the other track across town to do 1/4 mile runs.

Here's a video of an STI that had previously beat a Z06 twice. I guess after that the corvette owner didn't want to go for it again. To be fair the corvette at least did better than the miata in this video.

There were a few fast civics that were beating Fox body Stangs and quite a few stock cars running.
They also had drifting going on on the oval. There was a nice WRX wagon but it never did anything.

No. my tune isnt ready. We're just now getting all the timing and mixtures smoothed out. Takes a while sending it back and forth. Havent added any more power yet than it was with the old turbo really except that the top end is stronger.

I just put in my 1 Step colder plugs. Wow, what a pain that was. On the passenger side the airbox has to come out. Wasn't too bad except for the difficulty in figuring out the order the sockets and such have to go on to get it to fit. On the driver's side, the battery air pump, oil fill tube, and bracket holding TGV plastic piping had to come off to get down underneath. Took me 2.5 hours going at a leisurely pace.

It wasn't that informative on doing the plugs part. (You're referring to the injector swap one right?) It did give you the hint about removing the oil filler tube and the bolt holding on the TGV air tube. It was merely suggested to help but it's really mandatory to get that stuff out of the way.

I take great comfort in knowing that i'll probably never change them again for a few years.

They are. I just went as dark as legally possible on the front two, which here in tx is 35%. On the rears its just the factory 35% tint but, if I had tinted them I would have done 20%. The 20% on the rear also would make the front two appear darker cause less light would be in the vehicle to shine through the fronts.

If you have no tint at all yet go 35% front and 20% all around the rear.

I installed Lamin-x today! It wasn't terribly hard but the second one ws easier than the first after doing it once.

Halfway there:

It was a bit dark when I finished so i'll get a better shot tomorrow in the sun.
