Thanks for the compliments!

The seller was Formerly known as Prodrive Rex, but he is now Prodriven Auto. I'm trying to get him to be a vendor here so we all have easy access to STi parts.

I'll probably get an 04 steering rack and 05+ shifter trim from him next.

i'm always happy to see such clean mods like this. i really admire the great work. keep it up and have a blast! how do those jl's sound in the back? i have 2 new in a box jl 6w0s and a jl e1200 that have been sitting in my room for a year. i thought about placing them under the front seats, but if it sounds good in the back, i might place them there.

I assume this would not work on an 04 wheel? I have a leather wheel but like the sti one a whole lot better - I think I need to get a wheel & airbag to make it work.

You can get the 4 spoke WRX momo wheel with the red stitching. You would need a 03-05? wheel.

Man, that new blacked out grill looks night and day difference better! Very nice! Is the STi steering wheel thicker than stock XT wheel or is it just bling?

The STi wheel does feel a little thicker. The main reason I got it was so I could put a leather wheel in the X. I almost put the STi wheel in the X since the red matches the car but I wanted for myself.

I put the black grill on the X, and I'm going to do the grill for the XT in a full gunmetal. If I don't like it I'll black it out with plasti-dip.

On the black grill I did I put an entire can of the plasti-dip spray on it. After letting it dry for 24 hours I took a screw driver to an unseen spot and I could not get a mark in it. It is a nice thick rubber coating that should take rock abuse very well.

Wow, should have used that on my '04 XT grill trim...couldn't get anything to stick to the chrome trim w/o chipping off after a day or two. I have two cans of plasti-dip waiting to blacken my console trim...so many mods, so little time

I bought 6 cans to do the interior interior on my 98 Impreza, but I sold the car before I could finish. I still have 4.5 cans of the stuff left so I've been thinking of doing some of the interior of my XT. I'm thinking of doing the hatch trim pieces all black to start with. I might blackout the headliner too with black fabric spray. I need to remove the headliner anyway to get to an annoying rattle up there.

For the chrome trim piece I wet sanded it with 400 before I sprayed it. Once it cured it seems to be holding up pretty good.

uhoh...I hope I don't have/get one of those...I notice a noise on bumps but I think it is the rear strap clamp from the back of my son's Recaro car seat clanking/hitting against the rear middle ceiling latch. It has been driving me crazy.

...but now that I think about it, it only happens when he isn't in the car seat so I could just detach it while he isn't in the car.

I added a foam pad to the hook of my daughters car seat but the rattle didn't go away. If I bang on the headliner over the hatch I can hear something rattle, even when the car seat in unhooked.

I picked up a cargo box for our upcoming meet/campout. It should come in very handy and best of all it doesn't block the moonroof.
