Very nice Chris. I also read your post today about putting sound deadening in the doors. I think you've done more mods to your Forester than anyone here lately. You deserve a reward. If I wasn't so far away on the east coast I'd buy you a lager.

For now, the bananas will have to suffice.

Thanks! I've been pretty busy. I got baby number two coming at the end of June so I need to be done messing with my car by then.

I've almost got my XT where I want it and I should be done in about 4 weeks!

It has been a few days since my turbo swap and all the extra fluids that leaked on things seems to have burned off. The car doesn't stink anymore when first started, and it is running super strong and smooth now. I'm really loving it. If you stay out of boost the car feels stock too.

Have you noticed any change in your MPG since the install?

I got 24.8 mpg on the way home from PDX to Renton with the VF39. I haven't driven enough city to check the mpg yet though.

The funny thing is that even though I have all the extra power, I haven't used it much yet. Traffic has sucked lately and I've barely got into boost.

It is funny how that works...I miss the extra power. Soon. Very soon...

Today I added a blacked out grill, a red stitched STi steering wheel and a SPT head shield...

It basically is a Forester wheel with red stitching. A local runs a business that specializes in parting out 04-07 STIs. I got an 06 STi wheel off him. It had a blown airbag but the XT airbag fits perfect. My stock leathe wheel went in to my wife's Forester X and it replaced the crappy rubber wheel she had.
