Yellow Fog Light Tint Wrap Vinyl Sheet Roll Smoke Out: eBay Motors (item 380155494328 end time Nov-27-10 15:33:43 PST)

8 bucks shipped and a one foot roll is enough to cover it twice if you do it right. That means if I have issues I can recover them.

They were easy to apply with a credit card, soapy water and a hair dryer.

Well, I did a little spray paint project today. I'm stoked. it looks weird and killer in a different way. I sprayed the washer bottle and overflow bottle black. yes, the alt. cover looks dirty, but its red and with black wiped across in thin coats over the metal cause it wasnt drying... long story short, it looked like *** in red and i made do with my short temper.

pics are here!

this is the old dirty and not painted engine bay

freshly painted, will be degreased and scrubed on saturday and detailed on thursday for the show on sunday!

this is the driver side.

I haven't updated this in forever. Figure I might as well.

Brakes crapped out. Sooo, I got new ones. They are currently on, and awesome. I love the feeling of new brakes on a car, or new cars in general. KNS Brakes did me right and told me what I needed and didn't need. The only thing is shipping was an arm and a leg. someone needs to tell them what flat rate boxes are.

for the brakes them selves there is no pulsing, no squeaking, or problems, and the grinding that was coming from the front has indeed been fixed.

if you need brakes talk to these people if you can afford $40 in shipping.

I also have a SF5 grill coming in from Japan! I have a local contact that got shipped out there for a year or so and he hooked me up. $50 shipped to him, then it should be another $20 to me. AWESOME!

Also have some plans for the summer.
Tail Lights LED Flashing + 01/02 tail lights = possible awesomeness? We shall see, I need to get a little more income though.

Thanks for reading

mod bug bit.

Yea buddy. I was so excited when I got it, I opened it and tried installing in the post office parking lot... realized the clips were busted on my old one so I couldn't transfer them.

I did make a new friend at my new local Subaru dealership. The parts guy there, Jeff, is a very smart individual and got me exactly what I needed, and helped me install (slow over lunch).

Next thing I want to do is get my mudflaps fixed and maybe a radiator shroud heat shield thing, that is if I ever get a summer job.

thanks for reading,

omz

Well, a dash light bulb went out yesterday, thankfully its one behind the HVAC controls, so its not to hard to get to... I just don't know how to dislodge the bulb. Ideas?

also, while I was back there I came to a stark realization. I don't use my CD player. Soooo, I ordered something to replace it.

more to come!

they don't put out any more light then standard ones do. I will take a picture of them tonight after work, but it honestly just makes my car more noticeable in snow and rainy weather.

We don't really get fog here, so there isn't much purpose to them in my opinion.

I'm trying to get a few of them in, you know, so my other SF friends can get them if they wanted them. I'll let you know if I get any good leads on one and I'll buy it for you if you want.

it seems as if some people with elaborate skills and funds get the many followers to their journals. Not necessarily a bad thing. It's what gives me ideas sometimes. But you got it right, have fun doing it no matter how simple it is. I think your foz is coming along great.

Funds is the kicker for me. I don't have the financial ability to constantly modify my car and get the nice things that I want. I'm constantly left doing cheap and free mods with parts I have laying around and what not.
