so a few months had gone by like mentioned before my car has gone thru a few stages that i wasn't thinking i was goin to come across lol... well a few months after buying the car i started to hear a noise coming from my bay it was loud at times but didnt happened very often until one hot day after work i decided to turn on my A/C and bam .. the weird noise came back and this time SUPER loud ...ended up finding out some of my idler pulleys where about to go and so did my timing belt .. so i replaced all that .. car ran fine for quiet sometime .. did a few trips to NY and back a few times on occasion.. then began to feel my car lack alot but i thought it was normal due to me needing a clutch soon .. so as time went on like 2 months after my timing belt service the motor just died on my after putting gas .. no boom or anything just died out of no where .. come to find out my motor seized on me (how i dont not know). i was super MAD i didnt know what to do.. super tight on funds.. so i went thru the cheapest route i can think of...bought a 98' JDM ej25 DE (older model), bought a exedy stg1. clutch kit... and group-N sti 5spd mounts.. my mechanic swapped it for me and car had a few bugs ( that till this day I'm still tryin to figure out lol) i had to do a few things in order for it to work enough to drive the thing ...(hopefully some of you can shed some light later on and help a fellow forester newb out hahaha).. but onto the pics of this setup

till the next episode.. comments/help/w.e floats your boat are very welcome i love the site and looking forward on making new friends

do you still have the filter in the torque box, or did you cut it out?

Dang, sounds like you went through a lot right after getting the car... Kinda like ME! And we're car twins. My car looked exactly like yours when I got it haha.

Glad to finally see the pics and hear the beginning of your Subie story.

Subscribed. :)
