Hello. This is a journal of all my progress working on my 98 Forester. I've had my car for about two years now and I still enjoy it as much as I did they day I got it. My plan is just to continue making my car more and more unique and fitting to myself.

Engine and performance:
Kartboy short throw shifter and Cobb knob
Injen cold air intake
KartBoy and Tic shift bushings
Grimmspeed crank pulley
Borla replica headers
WRX muffler-->Installed
Grimmspeed MCB
Kartboy pitch stop

Exterior and suspension:
New rear hatch letters
Rally Armor flaps
Tint
Thule 594 Sidearm bike rack
Plasti dipped wheels
WRX wagon struts and springs-->Installed
Face lift (PLastidip grill)
Prodrive blue springs --> Installed

Interior:
New head unit
Front door speakers
New shift boot

Here is the shift knob I made in my metals class.

It started life looking like this.

Here is the entire process from start to finish.
(I thought I wanted a Camaro before the Foz ha, oh and the Camaro forum people can get a little rowdy btw)

Did my first ever oil change the other day, only took me 2.5 hours.

2.5 hours? hell, i could have driven up to you, changed it and made it back in that time frame.

I am surprised that you got those wheel ramps, I never have to lift my wagon when changing the oil.

still looking good. are you going to go gold in the spring?

The ramps made it alot easier, especially when getting that stupid plastic skid plate off. Go gold?

Ooh gotcha! I think I decided I wanted another set of wheels(maybe 02-04 wrx wheels, might paint em gold) for summer use and keep these as a winter set, but that's probably a ways away, unfortunately.

Got a new knock sensor and a clutch slave cylinder in the mail today! And some other goodies on the way!

You say you have limited mechanical experience, but you are not afraid of anything. Be very proud of your natural abilities! That knob is cool, and learning to solder on those little resistors is one very hard way to learn. You have my respect.
