OKAY... Here's a quick update...
Wheel plans: Steel wheels has shite tires at the moment. Going to continue to run them through the winter and put new snow tires on them next season. (Maybe paint them a new color?) At some point I'm going to get another set of 15s to put a set of gravel tires on for rallycross! (Getting a freebie set of used gravels from a friend) Tonight I will be picking up a set of 16s that I found on craigslist! Pretty much the only set of 16s I've wanted for this car. I've thought about 17s and been back and forth and forth and back and figure eh, tires are cheaper and the extra rubber might be more comfortable. Considering this will eventually be the future family car, might as well not go too crazy? Besides, more money and craziness will be dumped into the rally project when I get that started. Anywho... Pics tomorrow of the new wheels!

So I found myself a pretty good deal on wheels on Craigslist! $150 for wheels with tires. The tires aren't in terrible shape, but they are worn a little uneven AND there are two different tires (all the same size though). Brought them to work (I work at a tire shop) and dismounted them all so I can put the tires back on Craigslist.
Anywho... Here's a "Teaser" of my wheels ;) bwahaha

And I bought two orders but only used one. I ONLY tinted the amber lens so had plenty left over. If you haven't ordered any yet I can take a look in the garage and see what I've got left over if you're interested. ;)

No mounting bars, I just drilled a couple holes straight through the bumper cover and the support under it. It's pretty solid :)

WELL... I haven't posted in a while and my latest "change" to the Forester is yet another "Oops... well I guess I have to do THIS" kind of change.
Driving to work on the first day of Spring, in the snow... I was having a spirited drive around some nice turns and then BOOM!!! There was a pothole under some light cover snow I didn't know was going to be that deep... Suddenly the steering wheel is shaking pretty violently. Luckily I work at a tire shop and it was slow that day so I was able to check my car out at work. Turns out I bent the CRAP out of my wheel SO bad from the center that there's no fixing it. Also, thank Subaru for putting full size spares in the Forester. Took it out, swapped tires and Bam, it's all good. Oh wait... who remembers that I spray painted my wheels black? hahah It's too cold to paint it to match AND... laziness makes me not really care since I still have my Saab wheels that are still waiting for tires/Spring weather.
