A little update:

Last week my brother and I replaced the timing belt and tensioner, which was leaking. My Foz seems to run smoother but it could just be me. Also my gas mileage has increased so far by about 2 MPG, so I'm happy about that.

My clutch is in need of a replacement, good thing this came in the mail over the weekend:

Hopefully I have time to install it sooner rather than later.

And finally I hauled 890 pounds of stuff to the dump this past Saturday. The Foz handled the heavy load better than I could have imagined.

How was the timing belt job? I need to do mine asap, warranty runs out in about 6k miles and there's no way I can get them to cover that job.

Easy as hell. Seriously, my friend and I dug into it having no idea what we were getting into and got it done, alone with a new water pump, thermostat, and all associated idlers/pulleys/tensioner in probably 3 hours.

Seems like a lot of work, I have no idea if mine was ever done, nothing showed up on the carfax and I'm way past the 105 months. I'd rather have someone who somewhat knew what they were doing help me so I don't mess anything up.

My brother and I did my t-belt in about 3 hours as well. That thread is amazing that pigboat_2 posted. So easy and clear. Also, check some of the threads about tips for t-belt replacements. I was scared, but its not hard. Just take your time.

Mike the timing belt was easy peazy! Just follow the guide that Erich posted and you'll be good. If you know someone local who has done it before ask them for help, buy them a six pack and pizza lol. Its hard for me to pay someone to do stuff on my car than my brother and I can do (he was a certified Toyota tech for 4 years do that helps a lot). If you can do it then great, go ahead, if not there is no shame in paying someone to do it for you.

Thanks for the kind words theFoz99! Your car is looking great, Im jealous of your get more Gs Subaru ball! As for the rear WRX seats you just need to switch the old bracket from your Foz rear seats and onto the new and improved WRX seats. The difference is amazing! So soft and comfortable, I love it!

I've done a few things to my Foz. I got a roof basket to haul stuff around, can't wait to go camping this summer! And I got some WRX wheels. When I saw the first picture my jaw dropped. It's a big transformation from the previous pics and I love your foz : ) I wish my first car was this and not my problematic 99 legacy. I'm subscribing to this thread : )

The roof basket is a Rola Cargo Basket and the ski snowboards racks are Thule Flatop 4. The basket is $185 shipped from etrailer.com and I got the racks for $40 shipped from a website that my friend knows. I'll ask him if they have anymore.

Currently I have only the snowboard racks on the car as I don't bike during the fall or winter that much (I installed fork mounts on the basket to carry up to 3 road bikes) and I switched to '99 RS 2.5 wheels with brand new tires. I'll post up a picture soon hopefully. I hope Santa brings me a rear sway bay this year!
