Clinically_Ill's SF5 build.

I wanted a EJ20 turbo motor with a 5 speed manual tranny, low km (under 100,000km) and a near perfect body, the one I found was mid 80,000km and scored a 4 out of 5 in the body department (5 being a brand new vehicle) one thing I was not aware of when I found the SUV was that it had a sunroof and this is apparently rare in an S/tb 5 speed, so I am very happy about this because I love my sunroofs! It came with a few things I knew I didn't want like bull bar, step sides, rear bar & chrome accents but these are things that could easily be changed out since the sunroof is so hard to come by. She is currently in Vancouver awaiting shipping in a couple days and should be here in approx 7-10 days. I am very excited! Until then, here are a few pictures of her in the Japan yard that were sent to me.

;D

I will take better photos as soon as she arrives and is given a nice bath!
Then asap I will be heading to the nearest AWD dyno to get a starting point dyno and I'm not touching anything until I get her on the drag strip and the road course completely factory for a couple base time slips :) Always good to remember where you came from!

She isn't even here yet however I have already found a couple deals on eBay that I could not pass up so I've got a couple things already haha

Color matching grill to replace the chrome one (which I will later be selling and is supposed to be quite rare)

I also kept a few things from my MR2 before I sold it that I will be transferring into the Forester when the time comes.
PLX Wideband gauge

Momo "Net" steering wheel

I also bought something for her for christmas but I will post that when it comes in! Thanks guys, stay tuned!

P.S Thanks for the move! I couldn't figure out where to post :-)

Nice photos!

Looks like you have all the super rare parts installed:

-Side Steps
-Stainless RearBumper Cover Guard
-Grab Handle on Hatch
-Clear Corner headlights
-Rain/Window Guards
-Chrome Grille
-Chrome foglight surrounds
-Smoked taillights
-Funky rare cloth interior
-Bull Bar
-Momo Steering Wheel

Was it difficult to import this in to Canada from Japan?

Cost?

Importer contact information?

You could easily sell the bull bar and side steps on here, I'm sure people would jump on those. Can't wait to see this all done. I wish I lived in Canada.

Any reason why you didn't just paint the chrome grille black?

Haha that's funny I'm taking off or selling almost of of those parts haha, only thing staying is the clear corners, tail lights. I went through William @ JDMConnection, awesome guy made everything very easy for the import and always quick replies to any of my questions. I didn't just paint the chrome grill black because from my experience the chrome stuff is usually some sort of a coating that is tough to paint/keep painted, plus I found this grill for a very good deal and it's mint, so I'll just swap it and sell mine to make up for it :) Haha I HATE the floor mats! I think the interior will look alot less busy with normal ones, that'll be one of the first things I do lmao! On another note, I got this little model as a gift haha I though you guys might get a kick out of it! took alot of pics to get all the angles this thing is sweet! (it's very dusty in this picture as I'm in the middle of moving and there is so much dust from my storage unit and garage stuff)

Haha, I also got an Mitsubishi Evolution VIII, Nissan Skyline R34 GTR, Plymouth 'Cuda & Pontiac GTO... Sorry, sorta random but it's a Subaru so I thought some of you might enjoy haha

How much for the side steps? Would you be willing to sell them to me for my 02 Forester?

I'm not really 100% sure what they are worth yet but I would most likely do that :-) I'll have to see when it gets here too if I need to replace them with side skirts or what cuz I'm not sure what shows when you remove them. Depending on that might be the choice on how long I keep them on for and stuff. The bull bar is probably already sold to a local guy who also imported an S/tb (The green one). My Christmas present to the Fozzy also arrived before it did haha!

Props to Ultrex they did a great job tripple bubble wrapped it and it arrived undamaged :-D I was worried when the box arrived it had a huge smash in it but everything was ok!

I must say, from what I see so far I am very impressed with the quality of this scoop, all the lines/curves are smooth flowing and both sides are symmetrical, the mounting area seems great. I am very picky when it comes to body stuff so it takes a real good product for me to approve, I obviously haven't seen it on yet but I'm confident all the fitment will be great! +1 Ultrex

Thanks MiGz!
Haha, don't worry WOZZY they scare me too and won't be staying! But it was worth it for me to deal with removing that stuff and have the sunroof/5speed combo, it's too rare to try and find it again. The scoop wasn't cheap, $380 Australian (which was more CAD$) to get it to Canada... I weighed out both options of getting an authentic Subaru 02/03 JDM STi scoop and modifying it myself to make it fit... decided to just stick with the Ultrex
