Default Hello from SE Alberta, Canada

New Forester owner. New Subaru owner. New member.

I guess that makes me a NOOB. [at least for a day or two]

Today, I took delivery of a 2013 2.5X [5MT]. Deep Cherry Pearl in color.

Purchased from Subaru of Lethbridge - great team!! Highly recommended - talk to Matt or Jarrod.

Base model, but I added on the rear bumper step cover and wheel arch mouldings. Also swapped out the Bridgestone Duelers for Blizzaks as it is winter and I will be traveling through BC.

Future plans:

Alloys with all seasons. I really like the rims on the new CrossTrek - where do I get them or ones like them?

Floor mats. Are weatherguard overrated? Any other good options?

Pet ramp. I have an old dog that is short and a new car that is high. Need to buy / make a ramp to access the rear.

Learn the secret handshake and secret wave. Who do I talk to? Or are they simply secret?

Spending too much time on the internet car forums. I have a 1968 Triumph GT6 and a 1980 Porsche 911SC which keep me busy researching their niggly bits.

Cheers and looking forward to meeting some of you at some point in the future.

Welcome! From another newbie in Vancouver, BC. Early 80's 911 - I love it. My 2012 Forester has a sweet sound if you put your foot into it but the 911's sound is pretty hard to beat! Cheers.

I too am a nOOb with a '13 in deep cherry pearl. Doesn't seem like a very popular color. Welcome to the club.

Thanks guys - much appreciated.

Robert - I will be visiting your fair city several times over the next few months. Taking some courses through SFU and most of them are right downtown Vancouver.

If you see a deep cherry Forester with tourist plates lost in the big city, that may be me.

Welcome from your neighbour to the East. Enjoy your new Fozzy. Some day I will have a Porsche as a summer fun car. Until then, I will keep dreaming :-D.

Good luck on your schooling. If you get lost, start honking your horn - I'll come looking!
