15" is way to big for my needs and for the Forester dash as well.

I really like the look of your dash. Is there any particular reason to have the screen mounted so low? It would seem to me that it would be problematic to use.

When i did that i had 2 choices. This one here and...
To have the A/C controls installed in the top gauge pod, where my HU it is now. Doing this, the screen can be "raised" till the top of the dash, and you can save the ashtray and the 12V plug. But at that moment i had no confidence i can install the A/C controls in the top gauge pod. Now, i know i can ...

later edit: since i am not that tall, i can see the screen very well and no problem to operate it at all.

That's incredible. Amazing. What screen did you use? I'm going to attempt a car computer project this spring and the hardest part to find is the touchscreen.

How is the sound set up from the computer? I mean, how did you get the sound from the computer to play in the speakers?

The screen i used is a 8,4" touchscreen display (cartft.com). I don't even want to remember how i did the dash bezel... The sound from PC is connected to a power amplifier from Blaupunkt and from there to 4 speakers (JVC). At this moment i have no reason to use a bass speaker at all.

Me again with some info about the new RR Subaru skin i am designing for the Forester.
Some time ago i did the last one(curently in use), but now i feel confident to design a new one, with more info on it, more easy to operate and more appropriate of what i think my Forester should be. Given the fact that i have learned from mistakes, this new one should be at least better than the previous one. Please feel free to comment.

Since this is work in progress" things are subject to change based on operating in the car and on the other hardware boards going to be installed in the car to make my life easier :)

That's unreal. Great work! How do you determine front/rear weight? Or is it some static number?

i don't know which is more impressive: your interface or Bonnie Tyler's hair volume.

Seriously though - that is wizard as it gets.
