It's really a crying shame that wagons get no love, here - particularly performance wagons.
The Audi RS6, Volvo R, Mercedes-AMG...I practically keel over and drool when I see them, yet there's such a limited following that barely anyone else, with the exception of their owners, seem to share the same enthusiasm that I do about them. A friend of mine from the LegacyGT.com Forums owns a rather nicely upgraded white '05 Legacy GT wagon, 5MT, and as I've told him on countless occasions, had I more foresight when purchasing my beloved Winky - an '05 2.5GT sedan, also 5MT - I'd have gone for the wagon variant. The wagon would have been *such* a sleeper, and would also have given me much more utility as a family vehicle. Quote:
Even in the latest SubieSport review of the '10 Legacy (REF: 2010 Legacy: No more excuses|Subiesport Magazine) - Quote:
I even entertain the thought of, perhaps, little Anna, some 13 years from now, taking the keys from me, as her first car. But yes, I've been eying the new '10s - and yes, if they bring a true-STi variant over across the pond, I'd be very, very tempted to go that way, particularly if they managed to somehow pair it with a semiautomatic - which would allow my wife to also drive the car. But even given the new '10s drastically enlarged interior, I'd still like more room, now that I've been spoiled on that by our '09 FXT. If they could only do it all with a wagon, I'd be sold.
