The idea for "no racing" is to keep people such that they drive at their own pace and not to go at it like GT4 or Forza style in the game. Nobody is competing for anything. Nobody is going to get timed. We want people to enjoy themselves and learn. We know that at times, people like to go at it for a little bit, but that is not the idea for this event. Beginners will have limited passing zones for safety reasons. Definitely NO dive bombing. All the specific rules will explained by instructors and on the day of the event.
The idea for this event is to learn the dynamics of your car and to take what you learn on the track and apply it for the street. We absolutely do NOT condone street racing. We want people to understand their cars better on the track so in certain situations, you will be able to better handle your car in a safer manner. An event like this will definitely change the way you drive your car and make you a much more aware driver.
We want everyone to be able to go home in the car they went with on that day. So make sure that all the necessary maintenance is taken care of on your car like fluids. In June, it can reach up to 100+ degrees F.
Remember we are also having discounts on parts like pads and AP Racing brake kits for this event as well. Please PM me if you have questions.
Also, I will be out there as well in our track WRX so if any of you want rides, please let me know and I would be more than willing to let people sit with me. I am still trying to get our second track WRX out there as well.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Gary
