Partial noob with questions here ... I actually used to race SCCA showroom stock (wheel to wheel racing, not solo) at Sears Point, Portland, Laguna back in the '70's but haven't turned a wheel on the track since being an SCCA driver's school instructor at Sears (OK, Infineon) in 1980 or so. I trust myself to drive within the capabilities of the car, but back in those days brake fade and tire chunking (if using unshaved tires) were real issues. I have a stock FXT with nearly new Yokohama all-season tires in the OEM 215/60-16 size, not Geo's but nothing fancy either. Would they hold up to lapping T-hill in June? What pressures do people run?
