Default Liking What I See in The Forester

Howdy!

Texan currently living in South America. Soon we will be moving back to Texas and I have been looking for my ultimate vehicle. In the past I have had a Ford Explorer, GMC full-sized Denali SUV and a GMC Envoy. I currently drive a 2006 Honda CRV EXL 4X4 here in SA. This go round, I want something on the SUV lines, but never really liked the GMCs. The Honda is pretty nice, but not quite enough vehicle for my needs in the US of A.

I need about 2500 towing capacity, want AWD (had it on the Denali as well as my current Honda CRV), GOOD BRAKES, leather and a peppy ride. The vehicle also needs to be able to handle the desert environment in Big Bend as we have land out there that we will visit often. I just discovered the Forester again and I am liking what I see.

I first encountered a Forester here in SA when I was looking for a vehicle and came across the EXT and was wowed. The problem is they cost about $50,000 US here and I didn't want to spend that much for a two year stint. Forgot about them until I happened to see a pop-up ad and clicked on it having completely forgotten about how much I had liked the one I saw two years ago.

Hopefully, in five months or so, when we move back to the Houston area, I will still be enthusiastic about the Forester and have made up my mind.

It looks like I want the EXT. Any comments?

Thanks,
